Overview
The BGT is the large-scale topographic base registration of the Netherlands. It maps all physical objects in public space at a detailed scale, including roads, buildings, water bodies, green spaces, and terrain boundaries. The BGT is maintained collaboratively by municipalities, provinces, water boards, and Rijkswaterstaat. It serves as the geometric foundation for many government processes and is essential for asset management, urban planning, and detailed spatial analysis.
